Slab Track Mats

Slab Track Mats are used under concrete slab tracks. The slabs can be laid on the mats in pre-cast sections, or the concrete slab cast in-situ. They are used to provide a high degree of ground-borne vibration isolation in specific problem areas, e.g. tunnels and tracks in close proximity to buildings. Slab Track mats can be used to reduce noise coming from the track.

Many combinations of thickness and stiffness are available, to suit axle loads from trams to heavy freight, and high speed main line conditions. Different grades can be selected to give optimum vibration attenuation for all track conditions. Their Stiffness range is 15MN/m3 – 100MN/m3. Can attenuate transmission by 20dB.
