Plain Line Rail Pads

Used on sleepers as ‘rail pads’ (between the underside of the rail and the sleeper/chair/baseplate) or used as ‘baseplate pads’ between the chair /baseplate and the sleeper. Plain line simply refers to sections of railway track that does not have any junctions or crossings in it.

There are many types of plain line pads required around the world which are typically sold in large quantities. When you consider that one mile of track requires nearly 2,500 sleepers, this means that nearly 5,000 plain line pads are required.
