Another successful event this year in Kuala Lumpur. I had a great experience meeting some very influential people from Malaysia Rail and other rail companies across the globe. Looking forward to 2019.
This year’s event will be held from 2nd – 4th May in Kuala Lumpur. Trackelast will be exhibiting with other UK companies as part of the UK Pavilion and will be pleased to welcome you at Booth 85
December proved to be a popular month in terms of supplying Trackelast products around the world.
Not only did all planned orders go out on schedule to our UK customers but orders for countries such as Switzerland, Poland, Holland and more, were also despatched to meet planned Christmas work.
Trackelast was also contacted with several urgent short lead time requests for various grades of rail pads. Failure to supply , even at such a late stage, would probably have meant cancelled Christmas track possessions. Rising to the challenge, Trackelast was able to meet all these demands with the last delivery being made on 22nd December – ready for use the next day. Trackelast’s production facility was able to adapt to these urgent needs, manufacturing complete orders from scratch whilst being able to meet some requirements from sheets held in stock.
Tiflex Trackelast was an exhibitor at Nordic Rail, held from 10th -12th October in Jonkoping, Sweden.
Visitors to the Trackelast stand didn’t just come from Sweden/Denmark/Norway but also further away from Portugal, UK, Finland, Estonia, Turkey and Austria. The interest generated by Trackelast products was high and many new contacts were made which are being followed up.
This bi-annual rail show was a useful event and will help take Trackelast products into new business areas.
This year’s event will once again be held at Jonkoping in Sweden. Taking place on 10th, 11th and 12th October, the organisers are expecting over 350 exhibitors to take part.
Tiflex Trackelast will be exhibiting at this event. Whether you are an existing customer, looking to find a new supplier/solutions, or wish to discuss the possibility of working with Tiflex Trackeleast as a distributor, please come and see us on stand B04 : 111. We will be happy to meet you there.
This year saw the 18th annual event being held in Kuala Lumpur on the 24th to 26th May. With approximately 91 companies exhibiting, there was a large array of products on display from many major railway companies from across the globe.
Tiflex Trackelast attended as an exhibitor and we were delighted with the number of visitors to our stand. As usual we welcomed some of our existing customers but were pleasantly surprised by the number of new visitors who knew of Tiflex Trackelast and had taken the time to come and see us - many had specific requirements, whilst others were looking to engage with new trading partners.
Rail Solutions Asia was certainly a success for us and we look forward to attending the next event in 2018.
The UK Rail Industry Awards are an annual celebration of excellence and innovation across the rail industry and this year saw James Walker Group company Tiflex achieve recognition in the ‘Track Technology’ category as a member of the team involved in London Underground’s ‘deep-tube’ project.
The award was a joint victory for London Underground, Tiflex, Schwihag, and Delkor for their work on the deep tube lines. The award recognised the work performed on the deep tube track system with the creation of a solution designed to boost productivity rates, improve noise and vibration qualities, and decrease maintenance intervention. The system offers a life expectancy of 60 years - twice that of previous solutions.

Stephen Barber, Head of Track Engineering at London Underground, complimented Tiflex and its partners on the quality of the products supplied. “Tiflex is a reliable and proactive partner for London Underground. They have worked with us in helping to develop important solutions in noise reduction and track vibration attenuation. These developments will benefit the network and its passengers for many decades to come. We are delighted that this successful teamwork has been recognised in the Track Technology 2017 award.”
The awards ceremony, attended by nearly 1,000 leading figures in the UK rail industry, was held in London at Battersea Evolution. Collecting the award on behalf of Tiflex, Operations Director Tom Collins was delighted that the company’s involvement in this important project had been acknowledged. “The majority of our work and products are unseen by those using and operating our railways, even though everyone appreciates the benefits of reduced noise and vibration, so to be acknowledged by rail industry professionals in these awards is a great boost for our team.”
